I hope you guys have been following through my Hong Kong trip posts and if you did as I mentioned in my 2015 HONG KONG DAY 2 – NEVER TOO OLD FOR DISNEY about Mak Man Kee Noodle Shop (麥文記麵家), actually there’s another Wanton mee place called “Mak’s Noodle” which is located just 2-3 unit away from “Mak Man Kee Noodle”. I believed many people will mix the duo up.. seems like the locals would prefer Mak Man Kee and the Singaporean would probably prefer Mak’s? But our stand is Mak Man Kee Noodle, if you have the chance please head over to try both and let me know which do you prefer.
So, we had Mak’s noodle after returning back from Macau. A little disappointed with it because the veggie is not fresh and the oyster sauce isn’t as special as the other. Nevertheless, it was a good experience to get to try both.
Finally it was then on the last day, we’re both so dreaded to be deciding on which was the “must-go” on our never-ending long list. We didn’t want to wake up too early since it’s our last day, so we left the hotel at about 10 plus in the morning and stroll to Hello Kitty Chinese Restaurant for Dim Sum.
I’ve been to a few Hello Kitty theme restaurant such as Bangkok & Taiwan. None taste as good as it looked but this one in Hong Kong is the real deal. The food & dim sum is yummy, I will recommend you to go if you’re a kitty lover like me heh. theboy got me the Hello Kitty plushie as well, the size is quite big and it cost about SGD70+.
After having a good late breakfast, we head over to Royal Gardens Hotel located near to East Tsim Sha Tsui station to get the super awesome butterfly cookies (only available in the store itself) from FINE FOOD. These cookies taste way better than Jenny cookies and they look good as gifts so we got it for our loved ones. It was since then been well-received with compliments.
We didn’t want to carry so many stuff around, hence we headed back to the hotel to put down our shopping bags and head over to Mongkok area and did some personal shopping for ourselves. Brought theboy to satisfy his old man craving Tortoise Jelly (龟苓膏) and he was indulging on Smelly tofu as well. These are some things that I don’t eat lol.
We still get to have our dinner at Monster Sushi (Langham Place) which was recommended by Elena. I was told the ambience and the food is good but I guess it’s just so-so. Anyway, it’s a tick of the checklist.
That’s all that I’m going to share for my Hong Kong 2015 Trip and I hope you enjoy it.
