Hello! This space seems dead but if you’ve been following me on Instagram, the passing of my Grandma is still pretty depressing for me to accept. To cut it short, I finally found some time to gather all my Taiwan photos that were taken during my trip in aug 2017. I’m going to focus on the food because I personally feel that it’s too good not to share. The only thing I regretted it to visit Taipei in August, the weather is H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E!
It was our first Airbnb experience staying at “The Moustache House”, hosted by Joe. It’s such a cosy apartment that is situated just 5-mins walk away from Ximen Station (Ximending), with many nice, yummy food surrounding us but because the weather was so horrible, we felt like staying indoor the whole time. I always stay around Ximending area whenever I’m in Taipei because I indulge very much in those late night events happening in the most buzzing & hype part of Taipei. This apartment is good enough for 2 person.
After changing out into something cooler, we headed off for our first meal in search of the legendary ✧ 阿宗面线 which you can get it easily inside the street of Ximending. Honestly, not a great fan of having to stand, hold the bowl and eat in such hot weather, ermmm.. not even in cooler weather too.
Could not afford to miss an #ootd shot and decided to brace the scorching sun for this shot in total disbelief! They said that sunlight is so important for photography right? My skin were having fits (like literally) under this weather and it gave me bad mood and I started throwing my tantrum and was stubbornly, insisting that we should stay indoor but my hun somehow.. managed to get me out of the apartment by telling me that he’ll buy a portable fan for me. Alright.. deal.
It was then our time to feast again and my hun suggested ✧ 金峰卤肉饭（西门町）， all these for just NT$100. This braised meat rice is the best one that I’d ever tasted, better than Famosa Zhang! Watch the short video I took when I was there.

I’m going to list down all the night market that I usually won’t miss. 士林夜市，饒河夜市， 五分埔 & 师大夜市. My favourite for shopping is Shilin Nightmarket and RaoHe NightMarket for food. You just have to try EVERYTHING!
On our 2nd day, we’d decided to visit this famous Japanese restaurant, ✧ 二男 that my honey came across a tv show. We were there to queue early and was surprised to see long queue following behind us thereafter.
The specialty of this restaurant is the Sashimi Rice and after which they will barbecue the prawn head and put some rice in it, they only serve probably 10-20 bowls per day, you be fast, we were lucky we got it!
Operating Hours： 11:30-14:30 ＆ 17:00-22:00。(Closed every Monday)
Before this trip, I was busying searching for Insta-worthy cafe online. Came across a few that look really great but sadly inaccessible. Nevertheless, due to the rise is popularity of boutique-turn-cafe cafes, I decided to hit ✧ L’occitane Cafe for brunch. Honestly, the food is just normal, not awful.. nothing great but worth a try. Address: No. 32, Lane 290, Guangfu S Rd, Da’an District, Taipei City, Taiwan 106
As I mentioned many times, I’m not a fan of desserts but my honey is. I found ✧ The Paddington online because I was attracted to the shopfront. (giggles) To my surprised, I love the fluffy pancake they serve. Super yummy~ not too sweet. It is located alittle far from the train station, it took us about 10 minutes walk. It is super worth my walk under the scorching hot sun just to have a taste of the gelato, fluffy pancakes & banana!
