It was coming to 1st August, the day when I would grab this rare chance, every year to show my appreciation towards the love of my life and also the day when I always want to make everything unique and special just for his birthday. If you’re attached, I believe you’ll know how brain-juice-squeezing can planning a birthday be. I didn’t regret my choice for this awesome dinner place, I chose Salt Grill & Sky Bar after researching and hearing those good reviews online and from people around me.
It was then 1st August and the dress code for the night was Semi-Formal. So I decided to deck into this Dustpink Cluottes Jumpsuit from double-woots.com, matching it together with my Red Prada Double Bag & Pointed black heels from Charles & Keith.
I must said that the following picture that I’m going to share does not do justice to the actual view that you will get when you’re dining at Level 55 of ION orchard. The view was really a breathtaking moment but because our table was still quite a distance from the glass panel and the lighting was really insufficient. You really really need to be there yourself. First, we proceed to ION orchard Level 4’s concierge, the waitress then lead us to the lift to go up to Level 55 of ION, I only have one word to describe, ATAS! I felt like a queen living a high life, hahaha okay I was dreaming but I enjoy this kind of luxury feel. I feel that life is all about living it well and to its fullest.
We were then lead to our table where we sat down and decided on what to eat. We were served with bread with olive oil & something that tasted like salt+pepper, I love the bread and those condiments. Shortly, we were served with a bottle of Moscato D’Asti while we decide on our Main course. We ordered two sets of Wagyu cut of the day market price with different doneness, alongside with their Garlic Roasted Mushroom as side dish. Yummy! In case you do not know what does “market price” means, it is that if the price of the beef varies at different day depends on the market price like duh? hahaha no la actually not everyone knows, in short it is a really expensive but quality assured beef.
The doneness of the beef of perfect, the food was really good. I’d also specially arranged a cake to be served after dinner. I totally love their service and the ambience of the restaurant. You can really take your time to slowly enjoy your meal, slowly sip your wine and relax. Okay if you’re thinking how much was it.. I paid about $350. It can never be compared to how much theboy usually spent on me, so it’s all worth it. Just when we were about to leave..
The manager: “Thank you for dining with us, have you take a walk around the restaurant and check out the view yet?”
Me:”oh~ you mean we can do so?”
She: “Sure!” *ushered us to the slope*
I don’t know about you but I feel that this place is so atas that you just think that you’re only allowed to stay within your table area and not disturbed other diners by moving around hahaha, the manager was so sweet to offer us a chance to catch a better glimpse of the view. I’m so thankful for the experience, really. The stuff just made our dinner night so warmth!
The next time I will want to visit Salt Grill & Sky Bar again for high tea so that I can capture a better view with better lightings to do justice. Do give it a try.
